Katie Green grew up in the London suburbs and moved to Bristol in 2002 to study, where she lived for ten years before moving to her current home in Devon. After completing a degree in Biology, she studied Sequential Illustration, graduating with first class honours in 2009. Her graphic memoir, Lighter Than My Shadow, began as her degree project. Over 500 pages long, it took over 5 years to complete. The book was first published in Great Britain in 2013. In 2018, its Polish translation (by Kamila Kowerska) was published by the timof i cisi wspólnicy publishing house. Katie is currently doing some zines, short comics, and visuals for selected commercial clients, as well as working on her own creative projects. With her works featured in several books and exhibitions, Katie is running workshops and presentations in the UK and overseas.
