Wiśniewska
Ilona Wiśniewska comes from Prószków near Opole. Since 2010, she has been living in Arctic Norway. A Polish language and literature graduate and a photographic technician, she has written reportage books: Białe. Zimna wyspa Spitsbergen (2014), Hen. Na północy Norwegii (2016), and Lud. Z grenlandzkiej wyspy (2018). Białe... was nominated for Newsweek’s Teresa Torańska awards and won her the title of the Woman of the Year 2015. Hen... won the Traveller National Geographic award in the travel book category for 2017, and was shortlisted for the Beata Pawlak Award.
