Barbara Klicka is a poet, playwright, scriptwriter, cultural activist, and editor. For years, she worked for the Jewish Theatre and was a co-producer of the Singer’s Warsaw Festival. From 2010 to 2014, she worked as the editor in the Cwiszn quarterly devoted to Jewish literature and art. In 2012, she published a volume of poetry same same, which was nominated for the Wrocław Poetic Award Silesius. In 2016, she received the Gdynia Literary Award and the Silesius for Nice. Together with Jacek Dehnel, she co-created the Nowy Tajny Detektyw (New Secret Detective) interdisciplinary project. She wrote the script for Elementarz directed by Piotr Cieplak and staged in the National Theatre in Warsaw. In 2019, she debuted as a novelist with Zdrój published by W.A.B.
