A literary and cultural historian dealing with the nineteenth century Poland, an English language and literature graduate, a culture studies PhD, and an assistant professor at the Institute for the History of Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences, she is interested in the symptoms of modernity in the nineteenth century. She writes about spiritism, inventions, emancipation, and working classes. In 2018, her Anioł w domu, mrówka w fabryce was published and shortlisted for the Historical Award of Polityka.
