In the debate we will try to paint a vivid picture of Tolkien and his works. We will take a closer look at his experiences and inspirations that were crucial in the making of his imaginary world of Middle-Earth with all of its intricacies: the elvish languages, the elaborate history, geography and mythology. The discussion will also concern Tolkien’s popularity today in connection with the emergence of the movies based on his works and this year’s biopic: Tolkien. The guests that will take part in the debate are renowned Tolkien experts and scholars, who are willing to share their immense knowledge of Tolkien and his works with us.
